Many classical music composers hold their place in the history of music, but the great Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is most accomplished and maybe the most famous. Even a non-classical music lover has heard and knows about Mozart. In concerts throughout the world his pieces are still and often heard. His legacy of works are loved and regarded as masterpieces even though he died at only thirty five years old. In his short life time he studied and worked hard and his heart and soul can be heard in all his compositions.

This musical genius was born in Austria in 1756 and his father was a music teacher and skilled violinist and he started his son with musical instruments at three years old. When he was five, Mozart composed his own music for himself to play. His two first operas which he composed were done in 1970 in Vienna while he travelled the world extensively. The Mitridate and the Lucio Silla were the first pieces and played for the first time later that decade in Germany.

In his hometown he started working at the court of Prince Archbishop, from 1774 until 1777 and it was there that he composed the complete violin concertos, six piano sonatas and various masses and symphonies. Between 1782 and 1786 devoted his composing to piano concertos and done fifteen in that period. Mozart’s most famous pieces are done in 1786 and they include Don Giovanni and The Marriage of Figaro. His health declined however and subsequently died on the fifth of December 1791, a great loss to the classical music world.
